Hast thou e’er eyed a hero yonder ‘fore?
What gallant bravado within his core!
The hearse of heraldry abounds itself
To serve and to protect the lives of all;
Be it a Pegasus, be it an elf.
Of Herculean heart be streaks and fire
Aglown within illuminated wings
That harps a tune in flight to beauty’s lyre
In symphony of praise so choired by the strings.
The Cerberus of clarity is death
Of he who lives his life for others’ calls
But lives ne’er for his own for love or breath.
Such zeal of Zeus by zephyr’s humbled strength
Hath bless’d the beauteous in brimming lengths!
