I’ve far too much pain in this old heart. It has beat for decades, wearing down on love and hate and fear and fatigue. I’ve seen much death and bore much life. Perchance, it’s time to fade. Fade, fade, fade away to the depths devoid. Void, void, void where nothing is bliss and free are the chains, bonding pain to my soul like skin. Let blackness be the fire that purifies – the fire that purifies!

My hand is tied to ink,

To dip into my soul

And unleash worlds within,

Creating Gods’ domains

Unheard ere then by Men.

Run like gales afoot;
Take joy in freedom’s soft winds;
Be true to thyself.
